Roads2.Com offers international 'boutique-style'
travel tours known for the small groups, carefully planned itineraries, and
flexibility to explore on 'free-style free-time'.
Roads2Singapore.com is the website dedicated to travel tours to Singapore,
Indonesia, and Malaysia. For those who prefer to sometimes travel
independently, stay near the local activity, enjoy several days in a few places,
and are energetic enough for some walking each day, then
a Roads2.Com travel tour is for you.
The founders of Roads2.Com worked and traveled
throughout the world for over 30 years. And during that
time, they were involved with infrastructure projects in many
industries. Beyond their varied professional experiences
was the broad exposure, understanding and appreciation of many
cultures, each with its own unique contrasts and beauty. The
'vision' of Roads2.Com is to share their experiences and lifelong memories
with a 'boutique-style' of travel.
There is one scheduled Roads2Singapore tour at this
time. The tour is a blend of cultures. It begins with
the island-nation Singapore, the cosmopolitan gateway between East and West. Along the
way, is a visit to Bintan Island and a taste of Indonesia. The final stop is Malaysia
to get a look at Kuala
Lumpur and the country sights surrounding it.
Each tour is a 'small group' of only 8 tour
travelers. Included is international 'airfare'
with departure and transit airport
'lounge privileges', hotel
accommodations with 'breakfast', ground transportation, one 'hosted
dinner' surrounded by 'Singaporean culture', and
'entrance fees' to all scheduled tour sights. Assistance in arranging
Roads2.Com's daily 'free-style
free-time' to explore non-scheduled
tour sights is provided.
Each Roads2.Com
tour is managed by a local in-country
manager. All licensed, native speaking tour
guides are fluent in English.
Additionally, a Custom
tour can be arranged for a special family occasion or a
group of friends.
Singapore - Land of
Hustle - Land of Bustle.....
Singapore is
the Island Nation on the southern part of the Malay Peninsula. It's
history dates back many years, but this once fishing village island became a
boomtown of immigrants when Thomas Stamford Raffles of the British East India
Company stepped ashore in 1819 hoping to establish a trading settlement. A
subsequent treaty granted the entire island to the British.
In 1957, the British allowed the establishment of an
elected legislative assembly in Singapore. In 1963, Singapore became part
of the Federation of Malaysia, along with the newly independent state of
Malaysia. Singapore became an independent nation in 1967.
Now with its nearly 4.5 million people, Singapore
has become a modern metropolis surrounded by spotless green parks, hustle,
bustle and economic success. It is a city of polite, well-mannered
people. The nation's cultural mix is 75% Chinese, Malay 15%, Indians 7%
with a handful of Eurasians and other groups. This great diversity of
life-styles, cultures, and religions thrives within a framework of a
well-ordered society.
Singapore is a highly developed nation with
skyscrapers galore, an efficient subway system, well-maintained taxis, 5-star
hotels, world-class cuisine, gleaming mega-malls, and a visible show of
fashion. This is also a land of small discount stores, a few vacant lots,
and evening hawker food courts.
One half of the Singapore water supply comes from
captured rain. The rest comes from Malaysia. It has the 3rd lowest
fertility rate in the world. In 2005, Singapore was the busiest port in
the world. There are 63 islands making up this smallest nation in
Southeast Asia. It is one of the three remaining city-states in the
world.
Singapore
is the cosmopolitan gateway between East and West. It is the Land of
Hustle, and the Land of Bustle.
